Delete your account
This page documents how to permanently delete your Cliptor account and the data associated with it, and exactly what is erased versus what is retained. It is documentation only — deletion is performed from inside the app using the steps below, not from this page.
How to delete (in the app)
On the web
Open Settings → Danger zone, type DELETE to confirm, then choose Delete.
On mobile
Open Settings → Profile → Delete account, type DELETE to confirm, then confirm the deletion.
Typing DELETE is a deliberate guard against accidental deletion. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
What is deleted
Deleting your account immediately and irreversibly erases all of the following, and signs you out of all devices:
- Your account
- Your saved reels (your ownership of them)
- Your saved articles, and their category assignments
- Your private notes
- Your custom categories
- Your per-user category suggestions and activity
- Your search embeddings
- Your chat history — the questions you asked and the answers
- Your AI-sharing consent record
- Your AI usage records (model, tokens, and cost per request)
- Your action cards, feedback, and onboarding progress
What is retained
Shared, deduplicated content that is not personal to you is retained. This includes the underlying reel records and the shared category taxonomy, which may be referenced by other users and are not tied to your identity.
